Post SLO Parade

• Be at AHS 4:30PM to catch bus to SLO.
• Full Uniform with all your holiday baubles and tinsels to celebrate!
  • Getting in the spirit is encouraged as long as it does not inhibit marching or your instrument. 
• We are 34/86 parade entries
• Pizza and snacks will be served to the students while we wait for the parade to begin in San Luis Obispo! 
• Our staging area is the Mission Park (see PDF below for more details)

AS PER TRADITION all marching uniforms need to be handed in after the holiday parade when we arrive back at AHS. This means: 

• bring a change of clothes
• wear/bring all your uniform
• ​contact Michelle if you are not able to attend the parade
• ​Make arrangements with Michelle if you are not driving home with band

General Holiday Information

The countdown on - just two weeks to go until the 48th Annual Downtown SLO Holiday Parade! We're looking forward to a Whimsical Wonderland! 
Attached below you’ll find the Downtown SLO Parade Packet and the Street Name for Staging (Pre-Parade) Area. This parade packet is specific to you! Please share this with EVERYONE in your entry. 

The SLO Parade Packet includes:

• Staging, Check-in, Parade, and Unloading Information
• Parade Line-Up
• Staging Area Map
• Unloading Map 
• Emergency Information

As a reminder, no drop-offs are allowed in the staging area. This means parents/guardians are not allowed to drive in the staging area. This area is only for the parade entries. We recommend arriving early and walking to the staging area.

NEW Staging Area: Mission Field. If your group has a vehicle but you are also assigned to the field, please park your vehicle in your assigned street space and gather all pedestrians in Mission Field. If you are a marching group, please meet directly on Mission Field as assigned.
