Call time is 8:45am at the District Office parking lot just behind AMS (S).
Students will need to show up in full uniform with their hats and instruments. Percussion will load instruments into vehicles after the football game on Friday and will be delivered to the District Office Parking Lot. (S)
IMPORTANT – Pick up your entry number and participation ribbons at the Kiwanis Parade Check In stand between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (location to be determined).
READ THESE RULES BEFORE SENDING YOUR ENTRY FORM TO AVOID DISQUALIFICATION:
1 – Nothing is to be thrown or given away by parade entrants. NO EXCEPTIONS. You will be escorted off the parade route.
2 – No controversial or violent imagery for Parade is to be allowed.
3 – All unruly animals shall be removed immediately from the staging area or parade route and will be disqualified from
participation.
4 – Please do not BUNCH UP or LAG BEHIND. Keep approximately 75 feet between entries.
5 – No carrying of loaded firearms.
6 – No alcoholic beverages allowed.
7 – No political entries are allowed or political information to be distributed. However local candidates are welcome,
as members of the community and they may have a sign stating their name and office held or sought by the candidate (Example: John Jones, candidate for supervisor or Jane Smith, County Supervisor.)
8 – Commercial entries may state the name of the business. No other advertising or distribution of leaflets, candy or other favors or samples is allowed.
9 – Children 6 years or young on animals must have a lead rope attached with a supervising adult rider or walker. NO EXCEPTIONS.
10 – A donated truck to pull your parade entry is not required to cover up its normal signage painted on the door or body.
11 – No sirens or loud noises (Except for Fire Dept. & Police Dept.)
12 – FORWARD MOTION must be maintained at all times. If you have a routine, please perform it in a forward motion.

Our Annual Community Celebration, Atascadero Colony Days will take place on Saturday Oct. 5, 2024 from 10 am to 3 pm.
The parade will start at 10 a.m. and kick off behind the Administration Building on Lewis Avenue. Then head across the Arch Bridge and continue forward as Lewis Ave becomes Capistrano Ave, moving toward CA-41. After reaching CA-41, the parade will turn Northwest onto El Camino Real. The parade will then make a right onto West Mall, and end near Lewis Ave. The Festival will start immediately after the parade and continue until 3 pm. There will be a variety of vendors, entertainment and food in and around the Sunken Gardens Wiener dog and small dog races will start at 12:00 pm Applications for the parade are open and it is free to participate! Deadline is Friday, September 27, 2024. It will be a day for the community to gather safely with friends and family and celebrate! |
